How did we get into the Cabin Wedding Business?  

Our cabin wedding business was created in 2012 when a couple came to our Cavender Castle Venue looking to have an intimate wedding for their immediate family.  Both had been married before and had already done the “big wedding thing”.  They planned on staying at a cabin.  And, they could not justify the cost of renting a wedding venue while only expecting 20 guests.  

We knew of a few local cabins and made arrangements to see these properties with our couple.  They fell in love with a mountain-top vacation rental where the entire family could stay.  

Plus, the views provided a fantastic backdrop for the ceremony and photos. We knew we had stumbled upon a very special approach for intimate weddings and elopements.

So we did Cabin Wedding Research:

Owner Rick Durham got out the maps and started doing research on cabins and vacation rentals throughout North Georgia.  We searched for properties that deliver the “Wow” Factor… typically with fantastic views or water where ceremonies could be held.    

Plus, we were looking for owners and managers who were “wedding friendly”.   It was important to find owners who would be counted on to make things right if anything went wrong at their property during your wedding weekend.      

Next we researched caterers, restaurants, florists, hairdressers, and other services our couples would need to make their elopement or small wedding hassle free.

The rest is history.

Since then we have been blessed to have assisted hundreds of couples with cabin weddings and weddings at vacation rentals in North Georgia.

How do Cabin Weddings Work?

Our services include our free referral service to suggest cabins and vacation rentals that fit your needs.  We do not make commissions on recommending these properties so we can stay impartial and represent you.  You pay the owner of your selected cabin direct.  

Also, provide free concierge services to help you secure all the other services (cakes, flowers, catering, hair and make-up, etc) that you need for your wedding.  Again we do not make anything from these referrals.  They are totally free and made with the purpose of making your wedding planning stress free.

We make our living from the fees you pay us for your minister, photography, and coordination services.  Fair enough?
