• Cyndi is a wedding planner and photographer.  She too has successfully managed hundreds of weddings at our Cavender Castle Venue in Dahlonega and at cabins and waterfalls throughout North Georgia.

• Daughter Delaney is a photographer, photo editor, and social media manager.  Her youthful outlook keeps our company on top of all the latest wedding trends.

• As a family, we live to make your intimate wedding stress-free (and affordable).

And here is the really cool part…   The Durhams have already done all the hard work for you by researching hundreds of potential cabins and vacation rentals for your wedding.   We have personally identified the vacation rentals and cabins that are PERFECT for hosting your wedding!

About Cabin Weddings and Weddings at Vacation Rentals:

ALL of the Vacation Rentals listed on our site have been personally selected for inclusion in our listings by us.  We have personally inspected every property within the last 12 months. This is not a paid site where any vacation rental owner can list their cabin or vacation rental.   All rentals listed on this site are here because we feel really good about putting our stamp of approval on that property.

Here is what they look for on your behalf:

1) Does the property have a unique & unforgettable location for your wedding ceremony?   This normally means a rental on water, or with a view, or with a spectacular garden setting.   We want you to be totally impressed with your ceremony location.

2) Is this a property where we would want our daughter to spend her Honeymoon?   (Let’s face it… Most vacation rentals are OK for a guy’s weekend, but not many will qualify for the Honeymoon of our “Princess”!)

3) Is the property really, really clean and well maintained?

4)  Are the owners/managers nice people who really care about the folks who are staying at their property?   Can we trust them to make you their #1 priority if an unexpected problem arises at their property?    We don’t recommend properties where the owners are jerks, or where you will have a problem getting service if there is a problem with your rental.   If a property falls out of our standards it is immediately dropped from our website.

5) We don’t make anything from referring these rentals.  We make our living by coming to your rental and conducting your wedding. Our reputation is all we have, so we do not recommend any property that we would not recommend to one of our own family members.

Why you can trust us…

• We receive no compensation from the Cabins and Vacation Rentals we recommend on this site.   And, we do not offer paid advertising to the properties listed, nor do we accept compensation from our lodging partners.

• We make our money from Rev. Rick being your officiant and Cyndi (or Delaney) as your photographer/coordinator. 

• All of the Cabins and Vacation Rentals found on our site have been personally inspected within the last year.   We check the cleanliness, maintenance, appearance, and amenities to make sure they meet our high standards.   We ask ourselves “Would we want our daughter to get married here?”  And, “Would our fussy old Aunt Gert be happy here?”   If we have any concerns at all,  the property is dropped from our website.

• All our property owners and property managers who are what we call “wedding friendly”.     We screen for people who will be responsive and supportive on the most important day of your life.

• We only list properties that have special ceremony locations on site.   This means the property is located on water, or has a spectacular view, or has a unique setting that is perfect for a wedding.  We do not recommend old rustic cabins sitting back in the woods!

• And most important… our reputation is on the line.  Most of our couples see their wedding location for the first time on the day of their wedding.   We do everything possible to make sure their first response is “OH WOW!”…  Instead of “OH NO!”

• Oh, and one other important thing… If your wedding grows beyond the limits of a vacation rental we can always upgrade you to get married at our full service Cavender Castle Venue where we do weddings for up to 100 guests.
